Our centre principal (Steve Poulton) started boating 42 years ago when he was 10 yrs old and over the years has worked hard to consolidate his experience into qualifications.

 

Steve is currently an RYA ADVANCED POWERBOAT & PWC INSTRUCTOR TRAINER, an ADVANCED POWERBOAT INSTRUCTOR, A SHORE BASED INSTRUCTOR (First Aid/SRC VHF/Navigation courses) and an INLAND HELM INSTRUCTOR. 

 

He holds a COMMERCIALLY ENDORSED RYA/MCA ADVANCED POWERBOAT CERTIFICATE of COMPETENCE as well as an RYA DAY SKIPPER Certificate (motor).

Steve teaches POWERBOAT & PWC Instructor training courses, PBi to PWCi conversions, RYA PWC licences, RYA Powerboat courses, ESSENTIAL NAVIGATION & SEAMANSHIP, DAY SKIPPER and YACHT MASTER/COASTAL SKIPPER, RYA First aid & SRC VHF Courses at our dedicated training facility near Lincoln, UK

In addition to the RYA courses we offer at Lincoln, Steve is qualified and available to work on a freelance basis at recognised RYA training centres who are authorised to provide intermediate powerboat, advanced powerboat, inland helmsman courses, safety boat courses, Essential Navigation, Day Skipper(theory), Yacht Master/Coastal Skipper (theory), RYA First Aid & SRC VHF courses.

Steve offers WORLDWIDE SUPER YACHT CONSULTANCY and courses for PWC INSTRUCTOR TRAINING on board Super Yachts. Yachts must be (or in the process of becoming) a recognised RYA TRAINING CENTRE - email us for details.

Steve uses his experience to ensure our UK staff team are selected on their attitude, abilities and desire to teach others and when he is not teaching himself he holds an RYA appointment as a RYA centre and super yacht inspector... never a dull moment ;-)
