We offer the RYA LEVEL 2 POWERBOAT COURSE at our lake in Lincoln, UK - This TWO DAY COURSE can be booked 'to order' on any dates (subject to instructor availability) for a minimum of two people.
If you are an individual wanting to complete this course then we do offer 'one to one' courses - please call us to discuss your requirements and pricing.
If you are happy to join another customer on this course then we are able to add you to our waiting list and can advise when we have a course available.
We also book this course across any two dates no longer than 14 days apart so the course can be split if required.
The course is useful for recreational boaters who want to enhance their boating and perhaps head further afield on their own boat or perhaps a charter boat.
The RYA level 2 licence can be used to apply for an ICC which may be required if you wish to boat abroad. We can help with this process and best advise on your course if required.
This is the course chosen by the Police service, Fire service, environment agency and other similar organisations as the minimum standard required for their staff. The RYA level 2 licence can be commercially endorsed if you hold the SRC VHF operators certificate, a valid First Aid certificate, have completed the PPR on line course and have an approriate medical certificate.
We include all instruction to the RYA level two Powerboat syallabus, a copy of the course book, all on course refreshments and even lunch.
RYA L2 POWERBOAT
Assumed knowledge: None but can be preceded by the level 1
Course length: 2 days
Minimum age: 12 years - Candidates under the age of 16 will be issued with an endorsed certificate
Course content: Launching and recovery, boat handling, securing to a buoy, anchoring, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard and various other skills including an introduction to basic passage planning and navigation.
Ability after course: Self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of craft
