The RYA YACHTMASTER THEORY classroom course takes 40 hours + exams to complete and is run from our lakeside classroom in Lincoln.
Courses run over 6 days, we usually run this over 3 weekends but we can organise it through the week if you have a minimum of two people.
We always offer a 'one to one' package where you can book our instructor to deliver the course to you either at our venue or yours at a time to suit you - please see the relevant listing for further information.
We provide endless free tea/coffee, all materials required for the course and a home cooked hot lunch each day.
Included in your course cost are your own dividers, chart plotter and all training charts which you can keep for future use.

On our classroom based RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Course we delve deeper into advanced navigation and meteorology, building on the skills you will have gained at DAY SKIPPER level (although this is not a pre requiste it is recomended).
The course is suitable for those who are looking towards the RYA Advanced Powerboat Course or are perhaps considering completing the Yachtmaster offshore practical courses and exams.
Course topics include: position fixing, course shaping and plotting, tidal knowledge, use of almanacs and admiralty publications, electronic position finding equipment, taking and interpreting forecasts, plotting weather systems, weather predictions using a barometer and by observation, collision regulations, customs and excise regulations for cruising abroad
