We are only as good as our staff team and we work hard to ensure we are up to date and relevant in todays marine environment.
Our core team is led by Steve Poulton who has a policy of making teaching fun!
We could bore you with a list of his qualifications and achievements, but he would rather we simply tell you that he has spent over 30 years working full time in the outdoor education sector and specilises in training instructors, supporting new centre setups and working on expert witness reports for maritime incidents.
For those that care about such things, Steve has a Masters Degree in Outdoor Management & Learning and is appointed yearly by the RYA as an Advanced Powerboat and PWC Instructor trainer, an RYA Shorebased Instructor Trainer and an MCA CoC AdPB examiner while also personally having attained his RYA Cruising Instructor (Power) qualification completing his RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore CoC on route to that qualification.
Add lots of other relevant qualifiations and you have a fully rounded and experienced instructor trainer who is happy to help others achieve their qualification aspirations.
He likes penguins, coffee, boats and can talk for England!
